Who we are
Student Tests is an Australian practice site at studenttests.com.au. It offers original NAPLAN-style practice for Years 3, 5, 7 and 9. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by ACARA.
What we collect
- Account details: email address and a password. The password is stored only as a secure hash.
- Practice data: answers, scores and year packs, if you are logged in.
- Payment data: card details are taken by Stripe, not by this site. We keep the pack, the Stripe customer and the subscription status.
- Reports: if you report a question, we store the reason, an optional note, and the page.
- On this device: the weekly chart on the results page is saved in the browser, even without an account.
We do not sell personal information. We do not run ads or advertising trackers.
Why we use it
We use this information to run the account, save practice, deliver the year pack you paid for, process renewals and refunds through Stripe, and fix reported questions. We use it only for those purposes.
Who holds it
- Supabase stores accounts and practice data. The database is in Sydney, Australia.
- Stripe processes payments. Stripe may store card and billing data in Australia and overseas, including the United States.
- Vercel hosts the website. Some traffic and logs may pass through servers outside Australia, including the United States.
Children
The practice is for school students. An account should be created and managed by a parent or carer. Do not put a child’s full name or other personal details into a question report or a writing answer if you do not need to.
Access, correction and deletion
You can see and update your email from your account. To correct other information, or to delete the account and the practice data tied to it, email privacy@studenttests.com.au from the address on the account. We will confirm and then remove the account data we hold. Stripe keeps its own payment records under Stripe’s policy.
Complaints
Email privacy@studenttests.com.au. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
